Children of workers will be brought in the main stream of education
The government will help in the education of the children of workers working in factories, business establishments and shops registered by the Labor Welfare Council. For the benefit of the schemes, the income of the workers should not be more than 15 thousand per month. The employees of the Labor Department are informing the registered workers about the schemes for this.
The department has started an exercise to give the benefit of the scheme affected during the Corona period again. In this, special attention is being focused on providing education to the children of workers. Applications for this can be made on the website of the department. The government will give five to ten thousand rupees annually to the children of laborers for education.
About 62 thousand workers are registered in the district, whose children will get the benefit of this scheme. The officers and employees of the department have started the work of informing the registered workers for the implementation of the scheme. Workers will be able to apply online to take advantage of the scheme through Jan Suvidha Kendra.
Dr. APG Abdul Kalam Technical Education Assistance Scheme
Under this scheme, such workers working in registered establishments, factories and shops will be benefited whose monthly salary does not exceed 15 thousand rupees. Their children will be given five thousand rupees for their studies up to intermediate, eight thousand rupees for higher education and ten thousand rupees for technical education. Similarly, under the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Puraskar Yojana, there is a provision of award to the students who have secured more than 60 to 70 percent marks in high school and intermediate.
Raja Harishchandra deceased dependent assistance scheme
To take advantage of this scheme, there is a provision of giving two lakh rupees as financial assistance to the family of registered workers in factories. For this, the application has to be made within one year from the date of death of the worker. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the wife of the worker. The income of the worker should not exceed Rs 15,000 per month. (conversation)
