CBSE to start 'post-result annual psychological counselling' from May 13

CBSE has announced the results for its Board exams, and with it comes the beginning of its post-result annual psychological counselling program. The counselling service will be available from May 13 to May 27, with timings from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. This service has been provided by CBSE for the last 25 years, with trained counsellors and special educators from CBSE-affiliated schools available for tele-counselling during the second phase. Students and parents can access this service by dialing a toll-free number 1800-11-8004 from anywhere in India. Additionally, the CBSE website provides a counselling link that offers helpful tips and information for stakeholders.

This year, 38,83,710 students appeared for the CBSE Board Exams 2023, with the Class 10 exam held from February 15 to March 21, and the Class 12 exams held from February 15 to April 5. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 93.12%, while for Class 12 it was 87.33%. Students need to score a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to pass the CBSE Board Exams, with a minimum of 26 marks out of 80 needed to pass the theory examination for particular subjects in Class 12.

Girls have outperformed boys once again this year in both Class 12 and Class 10 exams. In Class 10, the overall pass percentage for girls was 90.68% while for boys it was 84.67%. In Class 12, girls scored 94.25% while boys scored 92.27%. JNV was recognized as the best-performing institute in both Class 10 and Class 12 results.
