The board examination results for classes 10th and 12th are anticipated to be released in May by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), but an official date for the announcement has not yet been declared. Once the results are available, they can be viewed on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. Class 10 answer sheet evaluations concluded around April 16, and Class 12 evaluations were finished during the last week of April. Historically, the CBSE has announced the results for Classes 10 and 12 on the same day, but several hours apart. Prior to the announcement, the Board will notify the date and time of the results announcement on its social media pages. Students who took the Class 10 and 12 board exams can access their results through DigiLocker, as well as the official CBSE website. In addition, candidates can use SMS and the UMANG app to access their CBSE results.

The CBSE conducted the Class 10 and 12 board exams from February to April 2023. The exams began on February 15, with Class 10 exams ending on March 21 and Class 12 exams ending on April 5. Over 38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th and 12th exams this year, with approximately 21,86,940 and 16,96,770 students taking the Class 10 and Class 12 exams, respectively.

According to CBSE regulations, students must receive a passing grade of 33% or more in each subject to pass the board exams. Additionally, they must pass both their internal and external assessments. A student can only obtain a passing certificate if they receive an "E grade" or higher in each subject that is part of an internal examination unless they are exempt.

If a candidate fails to pass the internal or external examination, the results of the external exams will only be withheld for one year. If a student passes all of the internal assessment exams but fails one of the five subjects on the external examinations, they will have to take the compartment exam for that subject.
