The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the results of the Class 10 and 12 board examinations in May. However, an official date for the announcement has yet to be disclosed by the board. The results will be available on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, and results.cbse.nic.in, after they are announced. The Class 10 answer sheets were evaluated by April 16th, while the Class 12 evaluations were completed by the last week of April. The CBSE usually announces the results for both classes on the same day but with a few hours of gap. The board will announce the date and time of the results on its social media pages prior to the announcement. Students can also access their results via DigiLocker, SMS, and the UMANG app in addition to the official CBSE website.

The CBSE conducted the Class 10 and 12 board exams from February to April 2023, with exams commencing on February 15th. The Class 10 exams ended on March 21st, while the Class 12 exams concluded on April 5th. This year, over 38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th and 12th exams, with approximately 21,86,940 students taking the Class 10 exam and 16,96,770 students taking the Class 12 exam.

According to CBSE norms, students must obtain at least 33% in each subject to pass the board exams. They must also receive passing grades on their internal and external papers. Unless exempted, students can only receive a passing certificate if they receive an “E grade” or higher in every subject that is part of an internal examination. The results of the external exams will be withheld for a year if a student does not clear the internal or external examination. In case a candidate passes all the internal assessment exams but fails in one of the five subjects in the external exams, they will be required to sit for the compartment exam for that subject.
