Dr. Mevalal Chaudhary, who was made the Minister of Education in Bihar’s Nitish Kumar government, had to resign due to allegations of corruption. In his place, Janata Dal United (JDU) acting president Ashok Chaudhary has been given the responsibility of the education department of the state. RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav has now also targeted him.

Actually, Chaudhary has not been directly accused but he is being attacked due to corruption charges against his wife. Leader of Opposition and Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have targeted Chaudhary through social media. Tejashwi has questioned his political integrity claim.

Tejashwi tweeted, ‘Chief Minister Nitish ji Mukutmani, accused of plagiarism, wife of JDU executive president and minister Mr. Ashok Chaudhary is accused of fraud and forgery of crores from bank, CBI is investigating, case in court . Look at their sincerity, they say that corruption of the wife is not a big deal (not a big deal).
The Supreme Court rejected the acquittal order and
let us know that Ashok Chaudhary’s wife is facing a bank fraud case. CBI is investigating this. His name was included in the charge sheet by the investigating agency in this corruption case. Chaudhary’s wife then went to the High Court, from where he was acquitted. However, the CBI has gone to the Supreme Court in this case where the High Court order has been repealed. The case is currently under trial.

Tejashwi accused of corruption, leader should not become opposition: JDU
At the same time, JDU said that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav should not become leader of the opposition because his name is involved in many cases of corruption and crime. The JDU’s statement comes at a time when party leader Mevalal Chaudhary has resigned from the post of education minister of the state due to a corruption case.

In a joint press conference on Saturday, JDU state unit president Vashistha Narayan Singh, acting president Ashok Chaudhary and spokespersons Sanjay Singh, Neeraj Kumar and Ajay Alok targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the appointment of Meva Lal Chaudhary as education minister. Lai criticized Yadav.
