Fitter: 03 Posts
Qualification: Matriculation plus NAC (National apprenticeship certificate) / NTC (National Trade certificate) issued by NCVT (National council of trades for vocational training in the machinist and fitter trade.

Examiner (Engineering): 04 Posts
Qualification: Matriculation plus NAC (National apprenticeship certificate) / NTC (National Trade certificate) issued by NCVT (National council of trades for vocational training in the fitter / grinder / machinist / miller / millwright / sheet metal worker / turner / welder.
Pay Scale: Rs 5200 – 20200/- Per Month
Age: 18 years and should not more than 42 years as on 19th October 2015.
Selection Procedure: written Exam and Personal Interview.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit of the candidates applying for any position is relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below.
- i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to ST communities.
- ii) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC communities.
iii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.

Gun and Shell factory was established in 1801 in the name of GUN CARRIAGE AGENCY by the EAST INDIA COMPANY for repair and manufacture of gun carriages. The transformation from bullock-driver contrivances of Gun Carriage Agency to that of a maker of sophisticated weapon systems is an absorbing story of technological advancement in consonance with developments in modern military hardware. Now it is a fully fledged engineering factory engaged in manufacturing of of ammunition hardware and ordnance stores for army, navy and other civil sectors. Supply to ARMY cover medium calibre guns, mortars elevating mass for L-70 anti-aircraft guns 84mm, rocket launcher, medium caliber shells ranging from 30 to 125 mm, various types of fuzes and primers.
