The Bihar Constable Recruitment process has revealed significant irregularities, particularly concerning gender information in applications. The Central Selection Board has identified over 1,400 candidates with incorrect gender details and cancelled nearly 40,000 applications due to various issues. Candidates are allowed to correct their information before the final selection process begins, which includes a written exam and physical tests. The Central Selection Board for Constable Recruitment in Bihar has uncovered serious irregularities during the application review for constables and jail warders. A thorough examination of numerous applications revealed various discrepancies, particularly concerning gender details, photographs, signatures, and other technical aspects. The board has not only pinpointed the applicants with erroneous information but has also permitted them to rectify these mistakes. Additionally, there has been communication regarding the cancellation of a significant number of applications.

The board has flagged 1,440 candidates in the Prohibition Constable and Jail Warder recruitment process for having incorrect gender information. Investigations showed that 1,223 applications listed female names and images but recorded the gender as male. Conversely, 217 applications had male names and photographs but were marked as female. The board has published the names of these candidates on its official website. Affected individuals can correct their gender information by visiting the board's office on Harding Road until January 25th.

In total, 39,382 applications have been annulled during this recruitment cycle. Out of these, 19,909 candidates registered but failed to submit their applications. Additionally, 17,317 candidates voluntarily withdrew their applications post-submission. Furthermore, 2,157 applications were cancelled due to technical issues, including multiple submissions, unclear photographs, incorrect signatures, and gender discrepancies.

The recruitment drive has advertised 4,128 positions under advertisement number 03/2025, which includes 1,685 roles for Prohibition Constables, 2,417 for Warders, and 108 for Mobile Squad Constables. The selection process will commence with a written examination at the 10th-grade level, which is qualifying. Candidates who pass this exam will then proceed to the physical efficiency test. The final merit list will be determined based on performance in running, shot put, and high jump events, with no interview stage included.
