The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled for September 2026. This marks the 22nd iteration of the exam, which aims to facilitate teaching opportunities for numerous candidates nationwide. According to the announcement from CBSE, the CTET September 2026 examination is set to take place on September 6, 2026 (Sunday). However, if there is a significant increase in the number of applicants, the exam may also be conducted on September 5, 2026 (Saturday).

Significant Change in Exam Center Allocation

Important Update on Exam Centers:
This year, CBSE has implemented a notable change regarding the allocation of exam cities. Candidates will no longer have the option to choose their preferred city during the online application process. Instead, the examination city will be assigned randomly by the Board, and requests for changes will not be accepted.
