CBSE Announces Re-Exam for CTET Paper-2 in Vaishali District
CBSE Re-CTET Exam Announcement
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a significant announcement regarding the CTET Paper-2 exam, which was previously canceled at certain centers in Vaishali district, Bihar, in February 2026. This exam will now be rescheduled. Here are the details...
In a move aimed at supporting candidates preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), CBSE has decided to hold a re-examination for Paper-2 from the February 2026 session. This decision comes after the original exam was canceled at some centers in Vaishali district due to administrative issues, ensuring fairness for all candidates.
The 21st edition of the CTET took place on February 7th and 8th, 2026, covering both Paper-1 and Paper-2. Unfortunately, the Paper-2 exam was interrupted at specific centers in Vaishali, leading to the cancellation of the exam midway and leaving many candidates disappointed.
Centers Affected by the Cancellation
The Board has identified the centers where the Paper-2 exam could not proceed, which include Lakshya Academy, Bardiha, Patepur, Vaishali (Hajipur), and St. John Academy, Basmati Nagar, Keshopur, Post Office Baluka Ram, Vaishali. The cancellation was due to incomplete exam arrangements at these locations.
Scheduled Re-Exam Date
The re-examination for CTET Paper-2 is set to take place on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, specifically at the aforementioned centers. Only those candidates who were registered at these locations will be eligible to participate in this re-exam. The Board has confirmed that this opportunity is exclusively for the affected candidates, and others will not need to retake the exam.
New Admit Cards Issued
Candidates who will be attending the re-exam will receive new admit cards, which will be accessible through their login on the official website. It is crucial for all candidates to download their updated admit cards promptly, as entry to the exam center will be denied without it.
Exam Date and Center Remain Unchanged
CBSE has reiterated that there will be no alterations to the exam date or the centers for the March 1 re-exam. Requests for changes from candidates will not be entertained. This will be the final opportunity for candidates, so they must ensure their presence at the exam center on the designated date and time.
