UPTET 2026 Exam Schedule and Guidelines Released
Overview of UPTET 2026
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) for 2026 is scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 4, with exams conducted in two shifts. Paper 2 will be administered on July 2 and 3, while Paper 1 is set for July 3 and 4.
Important Guidelines for Candidates
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released crucial instructions for candidates. It is essential to arrive at the exam venue ahead of time, as entry will close 45 minutes prior to the start of the exam, and latecomers will not be permitted to enter.
Exam Schedule Details
The UPTET 2026 will be conducted in two shifts:
- First Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Second Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Candidates should aim to reach the exam center at least one hour before the exam to avoid any last-minute issues. The gates will close at 8:45 AM for the first shift and at 1:45 PM for the second shift.
Required Documents for the Exam
To participate in the UPTET, candidates must bring the following items:
- A printed and updated admit card for 2026
- An original photo ID proof and a photocopy
- Three recent passport-sized photographs
Acceptable forms of ID include Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, driving license, or any government-issued photo ID. Candidates with the remark "e-KYC required at exam center" on their admit cards must present their original Aadhaar card for verification.
Permitted and Prohibited Items
Candidates are allowed to bring only essential items into the exam center, which include:
- Printed admit card
- Original photo ID
- Three passport-sized photographs
- Black ballpoint pen
- Plain clipboard or hardboard (without any writing)
- Transparent water bottle
However, the following items are strictly forbidden:
- Mobile phones
- Smartwatches
- Bluetooth devices
- Calculators
- Tablets and laptops
- ATM cards, notes, books, and any electronic gadgets
Possession of any prohibited items may result in the cancellation of the exam and further disciplinary actions.
