Students enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools across Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are most impacted by this decision. A significant number of Indian-origin children study in these countries, where CBSE schools are operational. The board emphasized that the current conditions are not conducive for conducting examinations, making this precautionary measure necessary. Earlier in the day, a fake notice claiming that several exams in the Middle East had been completely canceled went viral on social media. The board reiterated that any official updates will only be available through cbse.gov.in or other authorized channels, preventing unnecessary panic among students.


Scope of This Year's Examinations

The 2026 CBSE board examinations are currently taking place in India and 26 other countries, with over 4.3 million students participating. The only exam postponed in the Middle East is the one scheduled for March 2, and no other changes have been announced.
